Gaba Oolong Topazio

Gaba teas are a new type of tea that have the characteristic of having a very high percentage of γ aminobutyric acid (Gaba in fact) inside them.

This amino acid has proven beneficial effects on relaxation of the nervous system, lowering blood pressure and decreasing blood glucose. In addition to having excellent properties, this Gaba oolong tea has a very pleasant taste that oscillates between toasted and nutty, with a floral background typical of oolong teas. In particular, the gaba oolong topaz presents in its bouquet notes of honey and orange blossom, fresh and thirst-quenching.

This oolong comes from Nantou County, Taiwan. A tea grown at about 1500 meters above sea level, in the middle of the Taiwanese mountains.

Gaba teas, like many oolong teas, are low in caffeine, as they come from leaves that are further down the plant.
