 Organic roasted Kukicha is a tea made exclusively from toasted sprigs of Kukicha, a Japanese green tea, whose leaves have remained on the plant for at least 3 years without being harvested. Thanks to this, the caffeine content is zero; macrobiotics made it a tea for its diets and this is how this tea became famous in the West. In addition to having this advantage, Organic Roasted Kukicha is a tea with a very interesting taste, sweet, delicate and slightly caramelized. Anyone can drink plenty of it without fearing the sometimes unwanted effects of caffeine. The roasting process decreases the amount of antioxidant polyphenols but not by much, making Houjicha and Kukicha toasted teas, however, more antioxidants than Oolong and black teas. But all kukichas are teas with a high content of L-theanine, an amino acid with relaxing properties, which helps concentration and fights neurodegenerative diseases, as it is a molecule found mainly in twigs and shaded teas (kabuse).
